Allen joined FOR HomeBUYERS, Inc. in February 1999 after working with a traditional Raleigh brokerage. The firm had already committed to buyers-only representation since 1991, which lined up with his preference to advocate clearly for one side of the transaction.
He became Broker-In-Charge in 2002 and still oversees daily operations while representing his own buyer clients. Earlier management experience in a service business prepared him to balance compliance, schedules, and client communication without losing sight of individual deals.
Allen grew up in Raleigh and knows Wake County and neighboring towns from years of living and working across the area. He is married with a grown son who stays busy with cars and repair projects.
He keeps current with listing alerts, mapping tools, and contract paperwork online, which helps buyers who prefer email, text, or shared documents over paper stacks.
Outside of real estate he enjoys cooking for groups, restoring older cars, and yard projects. That eye for grading, drainage, and plantings often comes up when you compare properties.
